Yes, NYP Humanoid Team had once again conquered FIRA 2011 with outstanding achievement. Our robots, Beyond, Genesis, and Rocky rocked their way (no pun intended) from Singapore to Kaohsiung, Taiwan to compete with over 20 teams from 7 different countries around the world and managed leave a significant trace of success in this grand robotic competition :D
The NYP Humanoid Team has won a total of 17 medals! (8
Golds, 6 Silver and 3 Bronze)
Last year, we returned gloriously with 5 Gold and 1 Silver from FIRA 2010, which was held in India (16-19 September 2010). Albeit having such an admirable achievement, they still managed to make a name for themselves by breakinng FIRA World Records in Weightlifting and Lift-n-Carry Categories.
This year, Nanyang Polytechnic has won the highest number of gold medals in the competition. It's the greatest achievement ever achieved by a single institution! The team also managed to clinch the title of overall champion in the Teen-Size category! Heyhey! This is their first time joining this category okay!
Sooooo proud of them!!! :D
They were featured on Channel News Asia morning program - "amLIVE!"

They were also featured on Capital 95.8FM and there was a showcase of their coolest robot dance! (FYI, the dance was done by Beyond.)
